Mike Scher
Mike and his wife, Carmen, live in Watertown with their 5 children. Mike is very passionate about his family, his business and his community. He enjoys giving back to the community whenever possible and hosts a charity event every year to raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand to fight against childhood cancer. Mike also sits on the finance committee at St. Marks.
He enjoys coaching little league, pee wee football and basketball. His passion for sports and love for coaching allows him to spend time with his children while doing something they all enjoy. It also gives him the opportunity for a different type of impact which is to help mold other children into young athletes.
In his free time, Mike enjoys camping, playing golf, spending time with his family and cheering on the Packers: the best football team in the world.

Mike’s unwavering passion for financial planning has directed his career as a Financial Advisor with Northwestern Mutual since 2003. For the past 22 years, Mike has dedicated his career to guiding his clients to financial freedom by seeking to understand their financial goals and utilizing them as the framework for their customized plan. For Mike, building relationships with his clients is critical to orchestrating success in their financial plan and easily is his favorite part of the job. The financial world is complex, which is why Mike is dedicated to being an educated resource that his clients can rely on.
Not only is Mike a Financial Advisor, he is also a Managing Director. Mike’s Managing Director role also allows him to exercise his passion for people through the development of other financial advisors by mentoring, inspiring, and leading them as a key member of the Northwestern Mutual Leadership team.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

Beads of Courage
Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.
