About me

I've been married to Jen for 20+ years! We have 3 incredible boys (Ethan, Ty and Sam). We enjoy hanging out together around a campfire, listening to music, watching movies, traveling and exploring new things, eating tacos, and doing life together! We also have a dog, Oakley. We got him from a rescue a few years ago and he has been a special addition to our family!

When I'm not in the office, you might find me on the race track! I've always been a car enthusiast, but within the past few years I've been able to start running my car out at Road America! I enjoy spending time with friends and family and relaxing outside. I enjoy cooking and would probably call myself a "foodie". I also enjoy a really good cup of coffee!

The most important thing to me is my Faith. It drives what I do. I am who I am, because of it. I want my life and my work to glorify God.

Professional

My background is in Retail, Management and Training & Development. I started in a stock room and worked my way into management. I was promoted from Store Manager, to Multi-Store Manager, to a position as a Regional Trainer (including most of the State of WI). It was rewarding to have my hard work and leadership skills recognized through those promotions. However, it became clear to me that the opportunities for further advancement limited the family life I desired. Though my career is important to me, I needed to ensure that my role as a husband and a father did not take a second seat.

I was presented with an opportunity to step into Financial Planning with Northwestern Mutual. I was intrigued by the possibilities. My life and career experiences could compliment the training and resources available to me through NM to support an entirely new career path. There was real opportunity here to make an impact in other people's lives, I had the ability to create a schedule around what was important to me, and there was limitless growth potential. So after a lot of prayer, I took the step in faith. I have never regretted my decision and am thankful every day for that new beginning.

My philosophy as a Financial Advisor is in alignment with my personal values. I focus on developing authentic relationships with my clients, so that I can get to know and understand what is important to them. There are endless resources available for people and businesses to learn for themselves about managing finances and planning for the future, but the one thing those resources can not offer is personal connection. I believe that personal connection, relationship, is the key to developing a customized and comprehensive financial plan.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
