About me
Brent grew up on a farm in Agency, MO. He attended Northwest Missouri State University while studying International Business. Brent travelled abroad and studied European Studies, Innovations, and Sustainable Development from three Universities throughout Europe. After completion of undergrad studies in December 2009, Brent worked alongside the Dean of the Booth College of Business, as an assistant, while completing his MBA through April 2011.
After joining Northwestern Mutual in June of 2011 as part of the Post-Graduate Program and completion of Power of 10, Brent went full-time in September of 2011.
Having grown up in a family of multigenerational business owners, his team’s focus is working with business owners, farmers, and high-income earners such as physicians & real estate professionals—in the key areas of tax mitigation strategies, pushing off taxable events, and disinheriting the IRS.
Brent looks forward to having a greater impact in the Kansas City, MO area into the future. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Danielle, daughter Stella, the outdoors, boating, travel, and cheering on the Royals and Chiefs!
Brent has strengths in seeing and believing in what’s possible and a passion for bringing out the potential in others. He values an environment that promotes autonomy, achievement and impact and that is in alignment with his values of courage, excellence, growth and integrity.
Therefore, what he loves most and is called to do is…To inspire, encourage and foster the belief that YOU CAN!

Lending a hand in my community.
Making a difference in our community is important to us because an investment in community is an investment in the future. We are dedicated to improving the community in which we live, work, and play, through active involvement and meaningful participation. Here are some of the organizations we support:
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

Beads of Courage
Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.

Sophie's Run at Lake Waukomis
Our office is the title sponsor of this race and the organization's mission is to never see a child have to wait to communicate. Through fundraising efforts this organization has provided assistive communication devices to over 92 students since 2014. We are proud to support this great cause.
How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
