DC area offices raised a total of $79,160 to donate to Alex’s Lemonade Stand. Planning Forum and the Silent Auction left some big-ticket items with all proceeds going to fight against childhood cancer.

The Northwestern Mutual-Tysons office is raising money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to fund childhood cancer research. We find this cause important to us because no child should have to fight this disease. We’re proud to join our Northwestern Mutual colleagues from across the country to raise funds to help children with cancer. Learn more about this great organization!
Food for Others
Our team donated give baskets full of professional and children clothing and volunteered at their facility in Sterling, VA. Our team split into four groups; organizing shoes, evaluating quality of donations, sorting sizes, and hanging them for the free retail store.
June 19th, 2019
Northwestern Mutual’s Tysons Office volunteered and donated at the local organization, Women Giving Back for this year’s “Impact Day.” We chose WGB because their mission is to build confidence and self-esteem with personalized service and interaction for women and children in crisis.
June 2022 - Northwestern Mutual Tysons volunteered with Food for Others Fairfax, helping bring awareness to Food Insecurity in the Northern Virginia area.
Diversity and Inclusion Field Trip
June 14th, 2019 - The Tysons and Network office hosted a Diversity and Inclusion Field Trip with the Mechanicsburg Office from Pennsylvania. The field trip included a discussion Friday morning about previous experience with diversity and inclusion in the workspace, plus creating and growing a diverse team in Leadership.
