Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children under the age of 15. ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual has donated more than $20 million to support ALSF. Locally, the Cleveland office is proud to donate money that will go toward changing the lives of children with cancer.
Navy Seal Foundation
The Navy SEAL Foundation (NSF) provides immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) community and its families, the families of the fallen, wounded NSW warriors, transitioning NSW veterans as well as post-9/11 SEAL and Special Warfare Combat Crew veterans. The NSF supports all NSW members and their families, regardless of their location or marital status.
Greater Cleveland Food Bank
The Greater Cleveland Food Bank made weekly food distributions serving 2,000 – 3,000 people during the COVID crisis with the help of the Ohio National Guard.
The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is the largest hunger relief organization in Northeast Ohio. having served more than 404,000 people in FY2020. It connects individuals with the nutritious meals they need to succeed. The Food Bank provides food and other critical grocery products annually to more than 1,000 local food pantries, hot meal programs, shelters, mobile pantries, programs for the elderly and other nonprofit agencies.
Cleveland Leadership Center
Look Up To Cleveland Class of 2021, high school student volunteers at one of the Greater Cleveland Food Bank’s special mass distributions during the pandemic.
Cleveland Leadership Center provides collaborative leadership training, civic education, and connections to leaders of all ages, empowering them to identify and take action on issues that resonate with them and positioning them to become change agents in the community. It educates, connects, inspires, and engages leaders of all ages to drive positive community change through key programs, as well as customized offerings and events.
