In 2012, Northwestern Mutual launched its signature national philanthropic program to accelerate the search for a cure to childhood cancer and to provide support to kids and families facing the daily struggles of these diseases. In the first year of the Childhood Cancer Program the Northwestern Mutual family donated more than $2.75 Million to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.

Special Spaces is a not-for-profit 501(C)(3) organization creating dream bedrooms for children with cancer. Our goal is to provide these children with a special space where they can not only sleep, but also play, heal and spend time away from the challenges of their illness.
