Giving Back
Lending a hand, however we can.
Along with making our clients feel better about their money, we're making our community feel better, too.
Causes we care about
Along with making the financial lives of our clients better, we're improving our community, too. Through financial support, volunteerism and collaboration with partners, we're helping to build a stronger community.Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer
Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children under the age of 15. ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual has donated more than $20 million to support ALSF. Locally, the Hoover office is proud to raise money that will go toward changing the lives of children with cancer.
Children’s Harbor
Children’s Harbor provides kids with serious illnesses and their families a place to be themselves—to have fun and relax—while also receiving no-cost services that make life a bit easier for the whole family. From donating funds to raising them through events such as the Pig Iron BBQ Challenge, our office is proud to help local families find balance and support during and after hospitalization.
Lifeline Children's Services
The mission of Lifeline Children’s Services is to equip the Body of Christ to manifest the gospel to vulnerable children. Their ministries include supporting adoption, foster care, family restoration, as well as counseling. Our office is a proud fund-raising partner at the annual R(un) For One 5K event.
Open Hands Overflowing Hearts
The most underfunded types of cancer research are those that affect children. That's why our office is proud to partner with Open Hands Overflowing Hearts to help them fund cutting edge research at Children's of Alabama in Birmingham.
