Meet Wade Weldon

Personal
I am an Atlanta native and have lived in the area my entire life. After attending Greater Atlanta Christian for high school, I went on to play basketball at Oglethorpe University. In 2010, I married my high school sweetheart, Kathleen. We now reside in Brookhaven, Georgia with our three children, Elise, Brooks, and Davis.
As a former collegiate athlete, I continue to enjoy a variety of physical activities and do my best to stay active in the community. I have competed in numerous sporting events on both a local and national scale including: CrossFit, Ironman, Ironman 70.3, Marathon, and Spartan Races. In our spare time, our family has a passion for travel, and we love the outdoors.

Professional
After graduating from Oglethorpe University with a degree in Business Administration, I joined Marsh in Atlanta, working on the client-facing side of the large commercial insurance brokerage firm. After 3 years, I decided to take on a new challenge in the technology sales industry with Sharp Business Systems. In 2015, I was eager to start my own business where I could help others, and I was led to Northwestern Mutual. Now as a Financial Advisor, I am passionate about helping clients achieve their ultimate goal of creating financial security.
In 2019, I completed my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, which has allowed me to provide more tailored services to my clients.
Through the financial planning process, my team provides insight on investments, asset allocation, retirement planning, business planning, education funding, and risk management.
Certifications
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional
Bringing all the pieces of your financial life together is a challenging task. Today, more than ever, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals are an essential resource. From budgeting, to planning for retirement, to saving for education, to managing your insurance coverage. “Finances” doesn’t mean just one thing for most Americans — and “financial planning” means much more than just investing.
CFP® professionals have completed extensive training and experience requirements and are held to rigorous ethical standards. They understand the complexities of the changing financial climate and will make recommendations in your best interest.
Lending a hand in my community.
7 years ago, my love for endurance sports collided with a local organization, the Kyle Pease Foundation.
The purpose of the Kyle Pease Foundation (KPF) is to create awareness and raise funds to promote success for persons with disabilities by providing assistance to meet their individual needs through sports.
I have assisted disabled athletes in races all around the country, including the New York Marathon, the Savannah Marathon, and the Atlanta Publix Half Marathon.
The Kyle Pease Foundation
The Kyle Pease Foundation was founded in 2011 by brothers Kyle & Brent Pease upon completion of their first triathlon in April of that year. Kyle wanted to share the experience of inclusion with others, so the idea of KPF was born. After a few months of work, the group received their IRS determination as a 501(c)3 not for profit organization, and off they went. In March of 2012 they supported their first athlete and the brothers, and the organization has continued to grow since then.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
