Born and raised in Fairfield County, Vinny Auriemma attended the University of Bridgeport on a full athletic scholarship. Although spending much time on the gridiron, he excelled scholastically and became one of the University's most distinguished scholar athletes receiving degrees in Education and History. Vinny and his wife Diane reside in Easton, Connecticut with their daughters Katharine and Elizabeth.
