Personal

Rachel and Travis were set up by mutual friends back in 2009 and they hit it off immediately. However, it did take 4 times asking her out before she agreed to be his girlfriend! After dating for 2 years, he married the love of his life in May of 2012. From their first apartment in Boston to their current house in Beverly Massachusetts, they both have had a passion for faith in Jesus, which can be especially seen in their focus on adoption and community service.

In 2015, their first two children, Rylee and Kalel, came home at the ages of 2 and 3. In 2017, Antonio and Desiree came home at the ages 7 and 3. Later in 2017, Bentley came home from the hospital 2 weeks after being born. More recently, Travis and Rachel were named the Massachusetts Foster Parents of the Year for the Department of Children and Families (DCF) Adoption Unit for 2020! When people see the 5 kids, they often remark, “Wow, you have your hands full!”, to which they reply, “Yes, but our hearts are more full.”

Professional

Travis’s mission is to help individuals plan their finances so they can focus on the things that matter most in life: faith, family, friends, and bettering their communities. He firmly believes that financial freedom plays a crucial role in leading a fulfilling life, and he is deeply passionate about assisting his clients in achieving it.

His interest in financial planning arose during his time in Guatemala, where he managed a composting company aimed at providing employment opportunities for at-risk youth. Recognizing that many young adults would exhaust their weekly earnings in a single day, he began teaching them the principles of saving and wise spending. Witnessing the positive impact of financial freedom on his friends in Guatemala served as inspiration for him to become a financial advisor and extend his assistance to diverse communities.

As a financial advisor, he specializes in wealth management services, encompassing 401k rollovers, retirement savings plans, IRAs, and investment strategies. He also possesses significant experience in family wealth management and wealth preservation planning. Holding licenses in Series 6, Series 7, and Series 63, he possesses comprehensive knowledge of insurance, including life and disability insurance. His team is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and cultivating strong client relationships.

He is devoted to catering to a multicultural market and possesses conversational fluency in Spanish. He is grateful for his experience working with the LGBTQ+ community. Recognizing that everyone’s financial needs and goals are distinct, he collaborates closely with his clients to formulate customized financial plans tailored to their specific circumstances. Whether an individual, a family, or a business owner, he is fully committed to helping clients achieve their financial objectives and forge a brighter future.

Signs of Love

Since traveling to Africa in 2000, Travis has been involved in community service. In June of 2007, he started working with Signs of Love, an organization that brings language and God’s love to the deaf in Northern Honduras. He travels yearly to Honduras to help organize a camp for the deaf, as well as organize and participate in other community service projects in the villages. In the past few years, Rachel and Travis have been able to bring their own children in the hopes that they will carry the family torch of love.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
