In August 2024, Travis was selected to attend Northwestern Mutual's Trailblazer Academy. Trailblazer Academy is a development program for early career advisors. Qualifying advisors are those who have gotten off to a fast start and have impacted their communities in several quantifiable metrics. This opportunity is one that few get to experience and is indicative of Travis's hard work, dedication to his mission, and the impact his practice is having in the lives of those he's able to serve.
As part of the 7th cohort, Travis was 1 of select few invited to attend a year-long program focused on deepening his knowledge and skillset in the area of financial planning specifically for Physicians. The Radden Educational Institute is an organization founded by Timothy E. Radden, a Forbes Best-In-State Top Financial Professional, 40+ year veteran, and specialist in planning for Physicians.
Through this program, Travis learned about the education and career journey of physicians, common language and terminology used within the industry, and a variety of nuanced planning strategies for retirement, risk, business, and estate planning.
Travis had the honor of joining Rushion McDonald on the Money Making Conversations Podcast. During this segment, Travis shared his insights and passions about financial planning and his mission to close the racial wealth gap as a fiduciary financial advisor. He also discussed his experiences as a Black business owner and entrepreneur, highlighting the crucial role of business ownership and entrepreneurship in addressing the racial wealth gap.
