My Education & Work Journey

I began my journey graduating from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 2007. I initially knew I wasn't going to spend my working years as an engineer and had a passion for financial planning.  After working as an engineer for 4 years and getting a business minor in the process, I took a leap of faith and began my career as a Financial Planner with Northwestern Mutual in 2012. Since then, I earned the CFP® (Certified Financial Planner ™ ) certification and continue to further my education as a lifetime learner until I retire.

My Story

Hi there, my name is Travis and I'm a Financial Planner with Northwestern Mutual. I attended Texas A&M where I obtained my BS in Civil Engineering, and went on to get my Professional Engineer license while providing engineering services in the Dallas area. I worked as an engineer for 4 years before making the career transition to financial planning in 2011.

I am passionate about discipleship and community and am grateful for the opportunity to apply those values daily in my career. Having grown up in East Texas with a family background of Lebanese immigrants, and being a third-generation Tylerite, I was excited to return to the area after living in Dallas for 7 years. I am happily married to my wife Mallory and have four wonderful children, Titus, Katherine, Noelle, and Frances who attend GCS. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering at South Spring Baptist Church, playing most team sports, coaching my kids' teams, hosting families at my house, playing ping pong, and building treehouses.
