Personal
A lifelong dancer, I moved to Las Vegas after graduating from The University of Iowa to pursue a full-time dancing career. I performed in shows on the Las Vegas strip and around the world. The volatility of the entertainment industry forced me to become an expert at saving and planning for my financial future. When fellow dancers began coming to me for financial guidance, I realized that I could make even more impact by giving this advice professionally. I knew of the strength of Northwestern Mutual because my parents and grandparents are clients. I made a call to the Managing Partner, got an interview, and the rest is history.
It is important to me to work in a career where I make an impact and I can see the impact I am making. After meeting with hundreds of business owners, executives, medical professionals, and ordinary families, I realize that no matter how smart or educated someone is, they did not get the financial tools to be successful unless they were fortunate enough to be taught them by their parents. This is a problem. Most of our goals revolve around money… paying off debt, purchasing a car, purchasing a home, funding an education, raising children, saving for retirement. Financial literacy is not a luxury, it is a necessity.

Tory is the Government Relations Delegate for the state of Nevada on behalf of Northwestern Mutual. She will be representing your interests as it relates to the financial services industry. She will advocate to improve financial security by working with state representatives and senators.

Lending a hand in my community.
As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:
UNLV Graduate College Financial Wellness Advisory Board
The UNLV Graduate College Financial Wellness Advisory Board launched fall semester 2020. It consists of realtors, bankers, student loan guru’s, CPA’s, attorney’s, insurance specialists, and financial advisors. The board members lead topic specific seminars based on student feedback. The objective is to facilitate more financial literacy among graduate students. We created a comprehensive curriculum where they can earn their Financial Wellness Badge. Graduate students have one on one access to board members if requested. The final step is synthesizing all the tools they have learned to build their own personal financial plan. I would like to expand financial literacy from graduate school down to elementary school during my career. Financial literacy leads to financial empowerment.

The Plocher Network Women's Council
For the past 2 years I have been the Chair of the Plocher Women’s Council for our network of 6 offices. We are focused on content and connection. To provide content we invited psychologists, estate planning attorneys, human resource experts, specialists in teaming models, top advisors that have grown a thriving practice, recruiters, business coaches, and researchers to teach us about trends with women and their money. For connection we launched a book club, started a women's wine night, hosted a mani/pedi event and went on a scavenger hunt. Philanthropy is important to many of our members. The group voted to select “Dress for Success” as the organization we would support in 2022.

Professional
I take a solution-oriented approach to financial planning, helping my clients achieve their goals while educating them on sound financial strategy.
