Professional
I have been with Northwestern Mutual for 14 years and absolutely love the impact We make in our clients' lives! My own personal experiences lead me to this career. While I was always interested in financial tools, when I was 27 years old my father passed away from lung cancer. Watching my Mom struggle with the medical bills while trying to maintain her small business to make ends meet ultimately inspired my decision to switch careers.
Outside of spouses, no one is going to care for our clients financial well-being more than we do.
Our Mission is to help bring Financial Peace of Mind to our clients and their families through an integrated, dynamic and lifelong financial planning process.
We help our clients protect what matters most, their families and their businesses. Once a rock solid foundation is built, we help our clients strategically build their balance sheets for the future. Most of us don't know what we don't know. Our expertise and experience enables us to ask the right questions to determine what matters most to each client and design a customized plan to help our clients advance the ball towards their individual goals. The goal is to create better outcomes!
I have a Bachelor's of Science in Management from N.C. State and my Master's of Business Administration from Wake Forest University. Go Pack and Go Deacs!
I hold the series 6, 63, 66, 67 and 7 securities licenses, I'm a Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP) and obtained my Chartered Life Underwriting (CLU) designation.
Our core values include constant improvement and lifelong learning. Our education to better ourselves and ultimately our clients' financial lives never ends.
Personal
I am the proud father of two amazing young men, Gary and Zander. They are my 'whys' in life! As they transition into adulthood, my role continues to evolve with them. Coaching and mentoring is the focus now and allowing myself to be at peace with the life decisions they now make for themselves. I'll be there to celebrate their successes and help pick them up when they stumble and fall. Life is a an ongoing series of seasons. It's all about the journey!
Thankfully, my Mom is still with us. She has a cozy abode in my basement. I'm grateful to have her so close to me and I cherish the time we have together.
Snoop Dawg, the family dog, is the glue that holds all of us together;)
I have learned to always be grateful for what we have in life and honor God with a growth mindset, utilizing our God-given skills and talents to serve others. There is no 'there', there is no 'arriving'. It's all about the journey. Taking action, serving others and maintaining a healthy curiosity in life keeps life interesting and fulfilling.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, exercising, playing golf, traveling and the occasional brewery!

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
