About me

“Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act.” – Proverbs 3:27

In any endeavor, I believe that you’ll be successful if you care, but after more than a decade in civil engineering, I wasn’t feeling the passion anymore. My personality is more volunteer- and service-oriented, and I wanted to do something to make a difference in people’s lives.

When I mentioned this to my long-time friend and Northwestern Mutual advisor (also a former engineer), he suggested I interview with the company.  Though the interview went well, I still wasn’t sure it was the right decision. Like many Americans, I didn’t receive much financial education growing up and it took years of being out in the real-world to learn the fundamentals.

“Could I really help others in this way?”

My wife and I prayed for clarity. We received that affirmation less than 24 hours later, and I made the decision to join Northwestern Mutual. I was thrilled to discover that yes, I can help others in this way and in a company that is full of really good human beings who are genuinely caring, hard-working, and always willing to help.

As a once licensed professional engineer I was trained that every problem has a solution.

Today, I call myself a “financial engineer” because I apply the same engineering principles of quality design and rigorous planning to building financial strategies that provide solid foundations for my clients’ goals. I take great joy in engaging with clients, helping them improve their financial lives, and giving them peace-of-mind. I work hard to build relationships based on trust and integrity, and always provide the most ethical service.

Regardless of which stage of life you’re in, it’s never too late to start planning for your tomorrow. I can show you how to use innovative, world-class wealth management strategies to protect your family, secure your assets and business, and live life to the fullest.

Lending a hand in my community.

As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
