Family is the most important thing to me, and I enjoy spending my time away from the office with my daughter and husband on our small farm. We've found that putting the hard work in around the farm, makes sitting back and enjoying it that much better.
Community Involvement
As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help those around me, from opening our home to many wonderful foster dogs, or helping accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.
SNARR Northeast
SNARR Northeast (Special Needs Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation) is based out of Westchester County, New York, was founded in 2011 and is run by Courtney Bellew. "I had found my passion and wanted to do more to help in my own area.” SNARR Northeast was born… We save the toughest dogs to place; those with serious medical conditions, paralyzed dogs, deaf and blind dogs, severely emaciated dogs, dogs with neurological deficits & disease, dogs with injuries and orthopedic issues … the animals that nobody else wants; the dogs that would otherwise be euthanized.
Shiba Inu rescue of NJ
SRNJ is a small group of dedicated families living in NJ, Mass, Tenn, SC and Ga. These families have opened their hearts and homes to neglected, unwanted and displaced Shibas, Shiba mixes and Jindos. We are one of the few active Shiba Rescue Organization along the East Coast. We have close ties to other independent Shiba Rescues across the US and Canada. SRNJ works with many breed rescues as well. Our network of experienced rescue people whose goal is to give these once abandoned animals a second chance and adopt them to families that will love and care for them for the rest of their lives.
