Professional

After getting my bachelor’s degree in banking and finance, I ended up in the construction sales field. I found that I enjoyed working with people and wanted to build longer lasting relationships as I helped them find solutions to their wants and needs. That’s when I was introduced to the opportunity here at Northwestern Mutual, which fit that desire perfectly.

After my grandfather passed away, I found my grandmother at the table in tears trying to figure out how to pay for food or the mortgage without my grandfather's social security. This was one of the hardest working women I had ever known. There was no reason for her to find herself in this situation. When I help my clients plan for retirement, I make sure they aren’t just making it, but living their best life. That means planning for their ‘now’, and their future selves and loved ones.

I have obtained my Life and Health license, as well as my Series 6, 63 and SIE licenses. I love working with young couples, those in the construction field, and anyone nearing or at retirement. I find a great deal of fulfillment in helping those who are starting out get guidance on the best ways to reach their goals, while also helping people prepare for what retirement will look like and walk them through options to help make it better.

Personal

I grew up in a small town called Beaufort, Missouri. All told it had about 120 people that lived there.

I spend most of my free time with my family. I am a father of 4 beautiful children and husband to the most wonderful wife a man could have. If I do have any free time left over, I like to hunt and fish, or play games with my friends.

I have also recently started working with the Child Advocacy Center. They are a phenomenal group that are the voice for abused children when they can’t be.

The most unique thin about me, and if you have ever had a conversation with me you will pick it up pretty quickly, is my laugh. It is loud and sincere. I enjoy laughing, I like to smile, so I spend a lot of time making sure that I am able to do so.

Lending a hand in my community.

As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
