About me
Shawn O'Malley is a dedicated Financial Representative with Northwestern Mutual whose mission is to empower individuals and families to achieve financial security and peace of mind through individualized financial planning and guidance. He understands that financial planning is deeply personal and is committed to understanding your unique goals and aspirations all while providing comprehensive solutions tailored to your needs.
Born and raised in a small town southwest of Chicago, Illinois, Shawn’s childhood mainly consisted of helping on his grandparents’ farm, competing in sports, and dreaming of one day becoming the short stop for the Chicago Cubs.
Shawn graduated with his bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs before commissioning as an Officer into the United States Marine Corps the following year. Over the course of his service, he was reminded the value of planning ahead, discipline, and working together to achieve a common goal. Following his time in the military, Shawn found his passion for helping others navigate the complexities of retirement planning, investment strategies, and insurance solutions as a Financial Representative.
Now based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Shawn serves his community with integrity, professionalism, and genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those he works with. When not working with his clients, Shawn enjoys spending time at the gym, watching sports, and exploring Arizona’s outdoors.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.
Beads of Courage
Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.
