About Our Founder
Scott Sernett is the CEO and founder of Sernett Wealth Management. Scott has had the privilege of serving individuals, business owners, corporate, bank, and ESOP market clients for over 25 years. As a business owner himself, Scott understands the many challenges to achieving long term success. He is passionate about helping others through the complexities of building, growing, protecting, and transferring value.
Scott is the co-author of How to Create Your Life by Design. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in business. Scott also has four professional designations: CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional, Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), and Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®).
Scott married his high school sweetheart, Meg, and they reside in Cedar Falls, Iowa and Scottsdale, Arizona. They have two children: a daughter Taylor, and a son Benjamin. Scott treasures family time, playing golf, traveling, working out, reading, and giving back.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.
University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital
Dedicated to meeting the health care needs of children and families since 1919. As well as performing groundbreaking research to help solve the mysteries of childhood diseases, in addition to training the next generation of health care professionals.
NorthEast Iowa Foodbank
Distributes nutritious food and grocery products to 170 nonprofit organizations and programs that help families and individuals with food assistance. For 40 years, the Food Bank has alleviated hunger and provided nutrition education through its programs.
