There are those who are born to share their gifts, and Scott Beasley is certainly one of those people.
His gift of music led him to the highly prestigious Carnegie Mellon University where he received a Bachelor’s of fine arts and vocal performance. After achieving his Master’s degree in Opera Performance at the University of Tennessee, he began to seek a professional career that went further in bringing joy to others.
Understanding the importance our physical bodies play in overall health and happiness, Scott became a CrossFit coach specializing in training those who were overlooked by the other coaches— people who didn’t come from an athletic background, who had never done a pull-up or a push-up, and needed someone who could meet them where they were on their journey to health.
This is how he met his wife, Shannon. She was one of the strongest people at the gym (not just of the women—of everyone), and after watching her squat more than his own weight, he knew she was the one. Once they were married and had decided to grow their family, Scott was introduced to his next opportunity to help others.
The local Northwestern Mutual found out about Scott, and the stars aligned. He had always felt as though traditional schooling and education neglect to teach us the basics of financial literacy, and now he had the chance to change this severe lack of wealth education.
He quickly accomplished his financial license as though he was born to do this. Since 2019, he has been advising others on how to take control of their lives by taking control of their finances. Scott believes there is no greater freedom than financial freedom—it is the foundation upon which your joy deserves to be built.
Personal
Scott lives in Knoxville, TN with his wife and two beautiful children, Camryn and Mason. He is an extremely active Rotarian and founder of the Knoxville Community Rotaract Club. When not at the office, you can find Scott with his family at their local favorites, volunteering in the community or at the gym.

Lending a hand in my community.
As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

Beads of Courage
Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
