Personal

Family

I grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and moved to the Twin Cities to attend the University of St. Thomas where I met my wife, Marisa. We have two daughters, Sienna (15) and Gianna (13), and now reside in Inver Grove Heights, MN.

Community Involvement

I am actively involved in St. Paul’s Outreach, a campus outreach program that helps college students build and strengthen core values.

I regularly mentor middle and high school students through the Junior Achievement Program. The primary focus being on educating students about the importance of future finance relating to entering the career world.

I have undertaken a new mentorship role through the Labouré Society, who provide financial and spiritual support to those who must resolve student loans to pursue spiritual vocation.

Hobbies

I have been an avid baseball fan since my college playing days. In 2013, with the glory days of college behind me, and 10 years of amateur play under my belt, I hung up my hat with the Stockmen’s Irish amateur baseball team of St. Paul.

Nowadays, you can find me patronizing local establishments with my family such as the Children’s Museum, Minnesota Zoo, and local parks.

Professional

Our first meeting will explore what you see as your ideal future, and we’ll have the opportunity to use the expertise I bring to the table to help create a plan to guide you towards these goals. I have been fortunate to have worked with clients of various backgrounds, each with different goals in mind. Financial planning is not only about how we can build wealth, but also involves how we can protect our income and assets. It is important that a strong foundation be put in place in developing a firm strategy to achieve personal goals, whether it be a secure retirement, family education goals or ensuring a lifetime income.

Take a moment to ask yourself whether you've considered a plan for your financial future and if that plan is going to get you where you want to be. Perhaps it’s time to find out.

Lending a hand in my community.

As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
