About me

Before I can speak intelligently about the services that might be appropriate for you and your family, I need to get to know you. And, before you can feel comfortable sharing your goals and dreams, you need to get to know me.

Professional:

I have been with Northwestern Mutual since 1999. I joined as a Financial Representative Intern and spent 2 years as one of the top-ranking interns in the country. I have spent my career since then in the education of future leaders in Financial Services through management roles with Northwestern Mutual, teaching Financial Planning at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY, and helping people and businesses achieve financial security. I enjoy how the career has helped me develop as a person, and meet and work with some of the greatest people on the planet.  I have had several businesses that I have owned in my life, but the building of Anderson & Associates Wealth Management is my true passion. Our organization prides itself on working with clients within our core values and gaining success through the achievements that we make personally and professionally. 

Personal:

I have been married to Kristin Anderson since 2005, who works in the Office of the Provost at St. John Fisher College. We are residents of Fairport, NY (actually, the hamlet of Egypt) and have two boys, Miles and Carter, who joined our family from their birthplace in South Korea.

I grew up outside of Rochester in Clifton Springs, NY and attended DeSales High School in Geneva, NY.

Both Kristin and I enjoy camping, traveling, movies, time with friends and family, and Buffalo Bills football (although it can be trying at times).

Education:

  • BS in Management: Finance from St. John Fisher College, Rochester, NY 
  • Masters Degree in Financial Services (MSFS) from The American College of Financial Services, Bryn Mawr, PA

Lending a hand in my community.

My community involvement is guided by our Core Values with an emphasis on Service to Others and Education. 

  • St. John Fisher University: My alma mater; Kristin and I have endowed a scholarship and leadership conference there for student leaders.

  • Junior Achievement of Central Upstate New York: I am a board member, volunteer and fundraiser trying to educate our local youth on finances and ethics.

  • Sing-Out: As a board member, I support high schoolers in furthering their talent and educating them about the importance of community service. 

Sing-Out

Sing-Out Company, Inc. provides a means of community service for high school students. Through performance, students are able to raise money for children’s charities and learn the importance of giving back to the community their gifts of talent and time. The Sing-Out Company, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3). All donations are tax deductible.
