Personal

I grew up in Northwest Indiana in the rural town of Lowell. This is where my loves for hunting, The Bears, and my small town family began and continue to carry with me today. After moving to North Manchester Indiana for my Accounting and Finance double major, I met my wife, Merandah. Merandah has been my cornerstone since day one, and is excited to be pursuing her M.D currently. Not only did Manchester provide me the opportunity to meet her, but it is also where I was introduced to the Northwestern Mutual Internship program and where my connection with the company originated.

Growing up in a small town taught me the value of building relationshipsstaying humble, and pursuing entrepreneurship. In growing my practice, my core focus has been helping people think bigger and prioritize their dreams, as well as providing solution-based consulting so my clients continue to grow.

In my free time I love hunting waterfowl and deer, as well as training my chocolate lab and hunting companion, Remington. Merandah and I love to travel together, have been checking destinations off our list, and are continuing to add more!

Now that you know a little more about me, take some time to meet my team here!

Community Involvement

Alex's Lemonade Stand

I am proud to partner with Northwestern Mutual in supporting childhood cancer research through Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF). ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

A Focused Approach: The Medical Community

How do I end my  final PGY on the right path? Residency is over, what's next? What should I be doing in my first 6 years as an attending? Getting rid of student loans, comparing compensation packages, saving to start my own practice, all while working 14 hour days?

If these are questions or thoughts you're having, you're not alone.  I take pride in serving the medical community through my own specialty of simplifying personal, business, and estate financial planning.

You are an expert in your field, your specialized knowledge is valuable, your days are hectic, and your time off is precious. Our clients want to focus on what they have mastered; Medicine. You've spent the last 8-12 years in school and residencies; You owe it to yourself to have an intentional, proactive, plan around your finances so that your education, and the compensation it has earned you, is not squandered. My team and I are here to help make that path simple.

With our experience in the Parkview and IU Health hospital systems, we are definitely suited to offer a perspective that answers the question "how does all this fit together?". Integrating existing planning, benefits through employers, and other outside planning resources, we're able to think bigger on our client's behalf and ensure that their impact is not limited to the patients they care for.

Building Strong Relationships

Financial Planning does not happen by accident. It requires intentional attention and continuous refining that is facilitated by a long-term relationship. How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
