Professional

My path to being a Northwestern Mutual advisor intersects both personal and professional.

Throughout my 20+ year career in advertising and marketing, I specialized in sports and financial services. I worked for 15+ financial service companies throughout my career. Northwestern Mutual stood out for a few reasons, but their core competencies and AAA rating made me trust them with my financial planning. I found that Northwestern Mutual advisors truly cared about their clients and offered best in class products.

After ten years of being a Northwestern Mutual client and three years of exclusively working on Northwestern Mutual projects on the agency side, I accepted an internal role and became Director of Partnerships and Activations. Working in the corporate office gave me an even better appreciation for the genuine passion Northwestern Mutual advisors have for their clients.

As I began to see the benefits of my planning, I wanted to share that with others.  That lead me to form my financial planning practice, and of course, Northwestern Mutual was the best partner.

Who I Serve

  • Having insight into consumer behavior surrounding financial services, I am acutely aware and work diligently to empower women and ensure financial independence for them and their families.
  • I have an in-depth understanding of how to prepare young and mid-career professionals in the Advertising, Marketing, Sponsorships/Events and Media Sales industries.
  • As a business owner myself, I can understand that your work is your life, and planning needs to intersect with both your business and family goals.
  • As a 2nd generation American, I find myself naturally drawn to working with people of South Asian origin. The South Asian culture is classically considered patriarchal. While respecting our heritage, a family-centered partnership is core to saving, while growing wealth and creating a legacy.

I am FINRA registered and hold my life, accident and health, long-term care, and variable annuity licenses.  I’m a graduate of the University of Illinois, and always open to connecting with fellow alumni.

Personal

A lifelong Chicago area resident, I’ve been married to my wife Dawn since 1999. On a very personal note, I share that we know first-hand the emotional and financial impact of in vitro fertilization (IVF). We also know a great benefit.

In my free time, Dawn and I enjoy spending time with our daughter Miranda. She is passionate about volunteering with Best Buddies, an organization dedicated to forming one-on-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. To support Miranda’s passion, I provide financial planning interactive webinars and seminars to the parents of the Best Buddies program.

I enjoy grilling, golfing and spending time with my mother, who has been beating stage 4 lung cancer.

Lending a hand in my community.

As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
