Michael W Collins

Mike joined Northwestern Mutual in 1998 after a five-year career as a CPA. Over his career, Mike has earned numerous advisor awards and industry recognition. Mike is from Terre Haute, and currently resides there with his wife, Debbie, and daughters, Kimmie and Katie. Mike graduated from IUPUI with a degree in accounting.  Mike has his CPA license and has earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, RICP®, ChFC®, WMCP®, CLU®, and CASL® financial designations. 

Outside of the office, Mike is a twenty-year member and Treasurer of the Rotary Club of Terre Haute. He was recently awarded the Bill Tennis Award for lifetime contributions to the club. He is also the Treasurer of the United Way of the Wabash Valley. Mike enjoys spending time with family, vacationing at Disney and the beach, working out, and watching college football.

Mike is passionate about helping clients achieve financial security. It is an honor to serve our clients and be their partner on their financial journey.

Kristen joined the team in April 2022. She moved to Terre Haute in 2005 from a very small town in Indiana called Rising Sun. Prior to her employment with the Team, Kristen had a rich history of experience in working one on one with customers. As a retail manager for over 15 years, Kristen holds customer relationships at the highest standard.

Outside of work, Kristen married her husband Jesse in 2009 and together they have a sweet boy named Collin. Attending a concert is her absolute favorite pastime. Any musical genre will do, but there is special place in her heart for New Kids on the Block. She loves hosting dinner parties and spending time with her family and friends.

Adam joined Northwestern Mutual in 2021, and in 2023, he joined the team. Adam is an Associate Financial Advisor on our team and leads our investment and planning operations. Adam previously spent 12 years as an educator, and truly has a heart for helping others. Adam carries the Series 6 and 63 registrations, as well as the insurance licenses to help our clients with all their disability, life, and long-term care planning needs.

Initially moving to Terre Haute in 2002 to attend college at Indiana State University (ISU), Adam has been a 20+ year resident of the Terre Haute area. He, his wife Amy, and their two children are still actively involved in the community today. Outside of work, Adam and his family stay pretty busy though their involvement with their local church, youth soccer, and spending time traveling as a family. Adam, Amy, and the kids hold a deep love for road trips, national parks, and all things ISU.

Candace joined the team in May 2024. She grew up in a small nearby town Brazil, IN and still resides there today. Candace is a frequent visitor to the Terre Haute area and considers it home as well.  Prior to her employment with the team, Candace had an extensive background in customer friendly service for 14 years. Candace believes that customers should always feel valued and heard in every situation. She strives to connect with and help others. Outside of work, Candace is married to her loving husband Codey with a kindhearted son and two hyper dogs. She loves to read books in her hammock, shop, and spend time with her big extended family and friends.

Diane is the Client Scheduling Coordinator for the team. Diane serves as our office's point of contact for all scheduling. Diane has over 30 years of experience working in client management/supervision/office manager positions in nationwide companies.

Outside of work, Diane enjoys spending time with her two adult children. Diane also has several interests and hobbies including custom painting, floral/interior/landscape design, volunteering, helping people with disabilities, and being a Direct Care provider in the state of Indiana.
