Get to know Missy Personally
I graduated from Northwestern State University in Louisiana in 2001. I started with Northwestern Mutual in 2004. I grew up in Muskego and headed back after I graduated college. My husband and I knew we wanted to start and raise our family in our hometown.
I live in Muskego, WI with my husband Jared and our two beautiful daughters Mikayla and Avry. My husband owns and operates a local home building company. We also have two amazing dogs, Caprice and Junie. Caprice is Mikayla’s service dog and is such a blessing for Mikayla and our family. Junie is our family dog who also is a therapy dog and has a big role of comforting children at Children’s Hospital. As a family we love to travel, explore the outdoors, attend Wisconsin sporting events and enjoy our community. Our family enjoys our annual trips to Disney World… the happiest place on earth for our family!
I truly enjoy giving back as much as possible. Every year I help run and organize a golf outing with my brother to raise money for Children’s Hospital. It's a great event that brings people together for a great cause. I love volunteering and participating in after school activities with my children. I run cross country with my daughter Mikayla, and I am Avry’s brownie troop leader. I am on the board for Best Buddies. This organization is near and dear to my heart. My daughter Mikayla has benefited so much from this wonderful organization. I also act as the Special Needs Liaison for the Muskego School Board. Being involved and giving back is so important to me and big part of who I am.

Lending a hand in my community.
My daughter Mikayla has spent many days and weeks at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. In my family, we like to call them "Staycations". My drive and passion is to give back to this facility that has provided exceptional care for Mikayla. I am beyond grateful to the amazing doctors and staff at CHW.
Therapy Dog Program at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin
Junie and I visit Children's Hospital and surrounding schools weekly to bring comfort to all children and families. She has the most patience soul and brings so much joy to all that she visits.

Holiday Toy Drive for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin
My daughter Avry and I organize a Holiday Toy Drive annually to donate toys and gifts to children at CHW. With the donations from my family and friends, we are able to bring many smiles to the faces of the children on Christmas morning.

Krausenhagen Golf Outing Benefiting CHW
My brother Derrek and I have been organizing this golf outing for the last 12 years. The money raised is to benefit the Mikayla Burback Neurosciences Fund at CHW. The success of our fundraiser comes from the generosity of all who attend, donate and sponsor this event. Last year we raised over $11,000! We look forward to this event every summer.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
