Professional

Maureen started at Northwestern Mutual as a college intern over 30 years ago. She built a successful business on the risk side, selling life and disability insurance and becoming a Top 20 producer in the company. She has an extensive understanding of what is needed to protect clients from a risk perspective and offers this expertise to help them choose the right policies for their needs. Maureen has settled over 100 death and disability claims in her career.

Her mission is to integrate risk-based products with investment solutions to help her clients achieve financial security. She combines her comprehensive knowledge of life and disability insurance with her long-term experience with portfolio management as a Wealth Management Advisor. Many who meet with Maureen have a financial advisor, however they are unaware of the number in assets they’ll need to fully retire. Maureen helps her clients determine what that number is and develops a plan to get them there.

Maureen has earned the R.I.C.P.®, or Retirement Income Certified Professional® designation. This degree allows Maureen to focus on the distribution of assets and income in retirement. She spends a lot of time with clients, teaching them the benefits of tax diversification, the importance of guaranteed income and how to set up assets to achieve balance in various market situations. Maureen believes that 90% of financial success comes from behavior, and she loves to find ways to inspire clients to save. Maureen is a Fee Based Planner and customizes each financial plan according to the unique needs of each client.

In 2022 Maureen earned her CDFA® designation, which means Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, and she helps clients financially navigate the divorce process.  Divorce can be very painful, and Maureen’s long term background in financial security planning helps her to educate clients and empower them with the skills they need for financial independence. Maureen is patient and kind; she takes complex issues and breaks them into simple steps. Maureen believes that it is never too late to change a behavior, and never too late to find happiness.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
