Born and raised in Oregon, Matt attended David Douglas High School and Pacific University, studying Business with a concentration in Accounting and Marketing. Matt also played soccer and baseball while at Pacific.
Matt and Karen met in 2013 and were married by her father in 2016 in Redmond, Wa. They have three children and moved to Bend, OR in 2019. Matt and Karen enjoy golf, hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, pickleball and camping. Any chance they get you'll find them enjoying the outdoors. Together, Karen and Matt are passionate about helping others and being involved in their community and their church.

Matt joined Northwestern Mutual in 1993 to make a positive impact in families and businesses.
Matt's goal is to educate his clients and implement strategies that will help them achieve their personal, professional and financial goals. He works primarily with families, sales professionals, medical professionals and business owners to create financial plans that will address what is truly important to them and help them execute on that plan.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.
Beads of Courage
Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.
