Get to Know Mark
Mark’s practice today is focused around helping his clients develop clarity and confidence around their financial picture, so that they can focus on the people and pursuits that matter most in their lives. He works with clients both locally to the DC as well as nationally. Among his professional designations, Mark is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and a Chartered Special Needs Consultant™. He has been recognized by Forbes as one of the top financial security professionals in Virginia.
Based on both personal and professional experience, Mark advises several families who are caring for children with disabilities or special needs. He helps them address considerations around taxes, government benefits, risk management, and how caring for their loved one intersects with their retirement, estate planning and generational wealth transitioning. Mark is a member of the Academy of Special Needs Planners as well as a national study group that is focused on special needs financial planning.
Mark is native of McLean VA and former Naval Officer. He and his wife Marianne reside in the City of Falls Church with their daughter Anna. In his spare time, Mark enjoys golf, boating, fishing, and history. Mark and Marianne are members of St. James Catholic Church in Falls Church. Mark is a graduate of Bishop O’Connell High School, Randolph-Macon College, and has an MBA from George Washington University School of Business.
