Kevin Patrick O'Neill
Wealth Management Advisor|CLU®, RICP®, CFP®
Professional
I spent twenty years on Wall Street as a trader and portfolio manager. My career was dominated about what was going to happen in the next thirty seconds, three hours, or three days. I ask you now to give me thirty minutes so we can discuss the next thirty years. It’s true the tortoise beats the hare. Having a plan to guide yourself and family into the next year, decade, and century is the most important and intentional endeavor we can accomplish together.

Personal
I was born in Bryn Mawr, PA ironically the home of The American College of Financial Services. I now live in Madison, New Jersey with my wife, Suzanne and 3 children. Luke and Ryan are in college, and Karoline is in high school.
I enjoy time with my family and was very active coaching youth sports when the twins were younger. Summers are spent on the fairways of the Madison Golf course, and hiking and biking the local area. Suzanne and I spent time as kids at the NJ shore, and we take a few trips every summer to relive the memories.
I enjoy my downtime riding bike trials, golfing, hiking, snowboarding, and attending live music festivals and concerts. I also read a lot of books about investing and tax planning, fun right!
Lending a hand in my community.
Giving back to my community and favorite charities is an important part of my life. We need to be the change we want in this world; below are the causes I support.
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. My office runs a local fund raiser each summer around Morristown NJ, and the impact is real. Only 2 drugs designed for juvenile cancer have been approved by the FDA in the last 20 years, this is an amazing cause. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

Beads of Courage
Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.

HOPE Foundation
My dear friend, mentor, and fellow advisor Stephen Grant lost both of his sons to drug addiction. I have pledged a portion of my team’s revenue to support the foundation he founded, Chris and Kelly’s HOPE Foundation. A Foundation created in honor of Chris and Kelly Grant to financially assist organizations and programs whose purpose is to help adolescents and young adults who are struggling with substance abuse, addiction and depression. The Chris and Kelly HOPE Foundation is a 501c3 organization under the auspices of The Community Foundation of Greenville.
Alzheimer’s New Jersey
Learning about the difficulties clients face with long term care events lead me to join Alzheimer’s New Jersey. I donate my time to provide financial advice to families dealing with dementia and memory loss issues, and host seminars to educate the public on the challenges this disease can create emotionally and financially. I’m looking forward to growing the annual walk in my local town of Morristown NJ.
Rotary – End Hunger event
As a member of Rotary, I have enjoyed the annual End Hunger event we host at Drew University in Madison NJ. Each year the one-day event has experienced tremendous growth, and the impact is tangible. Local families, students, and coworkers assemble into a large gymnasium to package over 150,000 meals that are distributed to food banks in the local areas. My office in Morristown is also a proud sponsor of the Morristown food bank, and we host an annual event to prepare meals each November.
How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
