"The growth and development of people is the highest calling of leadership." | Harvey Firestone
As a Chief Development Officer, I lead a team of servant-hearted leaders who want to live a life of significance. It all starts by connecting great people to opportunities across the state. From our award-winning internship program, to our Fortune 100 entrepreneurial career opportunity as a financial advisor, to the team members that support personal practices and/or our leadership team, we want to impact the communities we serve both in financial security and in our philanthropic partnerships.
We are always growing and seeking top talent to join our growing offices across the state. We get to know YOU first and help you develop your career path/role that aligns with your values, aspirations, motivators, goals and dreams. We provide extensive training and personalized development, to help you live out your pure potential.
Living Life by Design

Katie and her husband, Mat, reside in Elkhorn, where she is originally from, with their three kids: Marcus, Behren and Roselyn. Marcus attends Elkhorn Valley View Middle School, Behren and Roselyn attend Blue Sage Elementary School, near their home. Mat and Katie married in 2013, and began their life and careers in Fremont, NE, where they spent the next four years. In 2017, Katie was presented an opportunity to come help start a new District office out of the Omaha Network Office, and their family relocated to Elkhorn. Three years later, another career opportunity was presented to their family to relocate down to Austin, TX to help grow the Network Office. The Eikmeiers spent the next ~5 years in Texas and loved the growth and development they experienced, learning to navigate a new way of life. In 2024, Katie was presented an opportunity to be CDO for Nebraska and return to their home state of Nebraska - which they couldn't pass up!
Their family resides in Elkhorn and are active in the community and in their local church. Marcus is involved in swimming, running club and band; Behren plays soccer, basketball and football; Roselyn is their performer and enjoys cheer/dance and plays soccer. The Eikmeiers love being outdoors, you can often find them exploring state parks or sites around the state. They love traveling, visiting new restaurants and their annual trip to Minnesota every summer.
Lending a hand in my community.
As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

Beads of Courage
Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
