A Letter from Our Founder

After completing my doctoral research at Duke University on the ethics of wealth building, I started a wealth advisory firm with a singular mission: multigenerational wealth building that serves the common good.

This mission is not superficial, and it is not a marketing slogan. Our firm's vision and mission press down into the very core of our identities, how we live our lives, the advice we give, the financial companies with which we partner, and the financial instruments we employ.

Building wealth that serves the good of our clients and the larger human community demands the orchestrated efforts of our entire team, which is comprised of ambitious, detail-oriented, expert problem-solvers. Every member of our firm loves complexity, rigorous analysis, concrete data, and creative thinking. Collectively, we have five master’s degrees, one doctorate, and numerous financial licenses and certifications.

More important than our technical expertise, however, is our love of people and our passion for collaborating with, educating, and coaching our clients through the complex labyrinth of financial strategies and products. We do more than build financial plans, invest our clients hard-earned money, and insure them against life’s worst tragedies. We build rich, life-long relationships with our clients, celebrating their successes and lamenting their losses.

The advice we provide our clients is marked by actionable steps that are based on centuries of hard financial data and that also account for life’s uncertainties. We don’t know what will happen to our client’s health, the global economy, tax laws, or financial markets in the future. Anyone who says they do is a snake-oil salesman. However, our team has a solid grasp of history (with lots of data-points), a broad understanding of financial markets and theory, and an extensive knowledge of human behavior. We leverage those knowledges to design strategies with the highest probability of success.

We believe that our relationship with the Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Company affords our clients something unique in the market of financial and investment advice: access to the expertise, excellence, and integrity of a leading American financial institution, coupled with the personal service and tailored strategies of a family-owned wealth advisory firm.

If you believe we may be a good fit for your generous, wealth building ambitions, we would love to start a conversation.

Warmly,

Joshua Goocey
