Professional

John joined the financial services industry since 1975. He has been with Northwestern Mutual since 1981 in Syracuse, NY.  At the end of 2019, he relocated to Pensacola FL. John works closely with business owners, professionals, and affluent families. The planning process helps his clients clarify and simplify their financial goals.  This allows the client to prioritize the tasks that they need to act on. John helps successful people achieve their retirement goals. As a Retirement Plan Specialist, he helps clients with creative plan design so they may keep more of what they earn.

John has served as President of both the Central N.Y. Chapter of the Society of Financial Services Professionals and the Syracuse Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He has been awarded the Distinguished Service Award from both organizations. John is also a past President of the NY State Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors. John has served on the NYSE and the Society of Financial Services Professionals Continuing Education Committees.

 Education

John did his undergraduate work at Middlebury College and has received two Masters’ degrees - Financial Services and Management from the American College. 

 Community

Active in his community John has been a Patroller since 1977 and served as the volunteer Patrol Director of the Labrador Mt. Ski Patrol. He was formerly the CNY Region Director and member of the BOD of the Eastern Division NSP. He has been a member of the Eastern Division NSP Finance Committee since 2005 and currently is Chair. He has been a Ski and Toboggan Instructor for over 25 years. John was Treasurer of the Onondaga Ski Club. He is now on the Finance Committee of the Nature Trail HOA.

Family

John and his wife, Sunny reside in the Nature Trail community in Pensacola most of the year and enjoy their Oneida Lake home during Summers in CNY. They have 5 children and 4 grandchildren.
