About Jeremy J. Wakamiya
Jeremy has a diverse family background and extended global network. He has traveled extensively and loves meeting people from around the world. Jeremy has a passion for giving back and leaving places in better shape than when they were found. Jeremy is happy to apply his experience and effort to benefit the community that he loves and serves. He is also an outdoor enthusiast and avid fisherman.
Driven to achieve and contribute, yet fascinated by the softer sides of life and creativity; Jeremy has always had an appreciation for the Arts. As a youth, if not making a mess at the pottery wheel or smearing paint on canvas with his deluxe Bob Ross kit, Jeremy was tending to a budding passion for music. At a young age he learned to read music and play the piano, later taking up instruments such as the alto and tenor saxophone. Jeremy enjoyed and performed jazz at a high level while at Arden Middle School and Rio Americano High School, both in Sacramento. Jeremy is always seeking opportunities for adventure and exploration. When he is not hiking, fishing, or exploring the outdoors with his wife, Irma, and dog, Brie, he is often found volunteering his time.
Community Involvement
"[Jeremy] would define Allyship as the genuine pursuit of a deeper understanding of a, group or idea with the intent to actively support and champion them. Knowledge and understanding are good but Allyship requires the intentional use of knowledge to share and distribute Power and to Inspire others to act in support of others."
Here are some of the organizations Jeremy continues his allyship for;

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
