Jason Hnat found his way to Northwestern Mutual unconventionally. Out of high school, Jason joined his family's business managing convenience stores in and around Baltimore City. He spent his early 20’s learning business, interpersonal, and financial management skills first-hand through real world experience. After many successful years working with his family, Jason decided to branch out and start a new business. He attended and earned a B.S. in Finance at University of Maryland Global Campus while transitioning into his financial practice with Northwestern Mutual.
Today, Jason operates a successful planning practice focusing on the financial needs and goals of those in his community. In addition to his thriving practice, Jason took on the responsibility of Growth and Development Director with Northwestern Mutual - Baltimore, allowing him to utilize the team building and mentoring skills developed during his early career at his family's business.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.
Beads of Courage
Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.
Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce
Jason is an active member in the Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce. He is an annual sponsor of the Educational Excellence Awards of Northern Anne Arundel county that honors outstanding educators from 55 public and private schools in Northern Anne Arundel County. In addition to his involvement with the educators of Northern Anne Arundel County, Jason volunteers with the NAACCC as a chamber ambassador in an effort to help bring in new businesses to the chamber.
