Lending a hand in my community.

At Armstrong Associates, we are committed to giving back to our community. Through volunteering and fundraising, we are always looking for ways to give back to the community which has given us so much. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:

United Way of Champaign County

We are pleased to be Pillars of the United Way of Champaign County. United Way fights for the Health, Education, and Financial Stability of every person in Champaign County. Their mission is to bring people and resources together to create positive change and lasting impact in our community.

Champaign County CASA

Champaign County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a not-for-profit organization which recruits, trains, and monitors volunteers who advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children. CASA volunteers work through the juvenile court system to facilitate prompt delivery of services and make independent recommendations to the court concerning the child’s well-being. Don and Suzi helped start and organize the original Champaign County Court Appointed Special Advocates Pinwheel Project in coordination with the Champaign Park District and Prairie Gardens. The purpose of the CASA Pinwheel Project is to create awareness and recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)

Northwestern Mutual (NM) launched its Childhood Cancer Program in 2012 to accelerate the search for cures for childhood cancer and to provide support to families battling the disease. Since then, NM has raised more than $20 million, funding more than 240,000 hours of research. ALSF developed it’s grant program with input from leading researchers from across the country to ensure it will make the biggest impact possible in bringing the latest and most promising life-saving treatments to children with cancer.

Our Events

In 2019, to coincide with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Armstrong Associates hosted a family-style Alex's Lemonade Stand fundraiser at Savoy 16 while we all enjoyed Dreamwork’s Abominable.
