I was born in Santa Clara, CA but moved to Oregon when I was very young and have been here ever since. After landing in Tualatin and graduating from Tualatin High School, I moved to Northeast Portland to study finance at PCC while working full time.

When I'm not working, I like to enjoy the great outdoors during our three months of sun here in Portland, cook, travel, lift weights & box, and spend time with my friends. Given that Portland is a major hub for some of the most interesting restaurants and food trucks, I also enjoy trying all sorts of new vittles that I might be able to add to my personal arsenal in the kitchen. Family is something that I've always kept close, so I also like to spend as much time as possible with them.

About a year after high school, I walked for Givenchy in Paris Fashion Week and found a knack for modeling & photography. Ever since then I've enjoyed shooting and creating content for various brands over the years. Although this has always been something that I've done on the side, I still enjoy it and will always be able to appreciate fashion and outstanding photography.

I began my career in finance within the banking industry as a teller then worked my way up to being a loan officer. After some time, I sought to break away from the traditional 9-5 and direct my financial expertise towards something where I could make a bigger impact within my community. From there, I chose to take the leap and start my financial planning practice with Northwestern Mutual!

Uplifting My Community

As a minority working in the finance industry, one of my leading motives is continuing to make a positive impact through the work that I do and provide my community with the tools & resources to be successful for generations to come. It is known that our experiences as minorities have and will always differ from other communities however, I believe that long term financial success for mine starts with understanding, initiative, and conversation.

Word Is Bond (WIB)

Word is Bond is a Portland-born, black-led nonprofit that sprouted in 2017. Word is Bond empowers young black men as they transition from boys to adults and find themselves while navigating through a world that provides very few platforms for unlocking their highest selves. I've taken great pride in mentoring for Word Is Bond over the past few years in order to give back, provide insight as a successful young black man, and empower our young community.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
