Personal
I live with my wife, Joan, and three of our four children in Inverness, Illinois. Our eldest is our daughter Eva is 28Austin Texas running a Cross Fit gym. Our son, Joe, is 24 and figuring life out on his own terms. Jimmy is 19 loves working with his hands and is on his way to becoming a Journeyman Electrician. The youngest in our family is Luke. He is 17, enjoy being on the gymnastics team and chasing down large trophy fresh water fish.
Joan is an avid gardener and has her hands full of dirt working in our yards.
In my spare time, I prefer to simply spending time with my family. I am old fashioned in that I enjoy old movies, reading to further my education and listening to music. I recharge by walking and hiking in local forest preserves and now fishing in the backyard. Playing catch with my sons or simply watching the vast variety of birds and other wild life in our yard.
Professional
While in my mid 20's and on my first job, I became the victim of a job related accident. I was disabled for nine months and could not go back to work. During that time I had plenty of time to devote to considering and finding a new career. I was introduced to the financial services business by my father insurance agent and quickly became very interested. After interviewing with many companies, I finally decided Northwestern Mutual was going to be my future. They offered the finest training program that I could find and thought with a year or so of good training, I could move on to a better sales opportunity. As you can tell, I never did move on. I enjoy working with my clients and helping them identify their financial and risk management goals. I am in a unique position of helping others realize their individual dreams while I too progress in my career. How lucky can one person be?

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.
