Personal

Dave Czarnecki grew up in Brookfield, WI and spent most of his summers playing tennis and golf. Dave was a Brookfield Central Lancer and started competitively playing tennis at the age of 12. Dave finished up his tennis career as an NCAA® athlete, playing tennis for Ripon College.

When Dave wasn’t swinging a tennis racquet he had an entrepreneurial spirit from the very beginning. At the age of 10 he would walk a mile to the local golf course with a cooler full of soda to sell to the golfers until it was empty at a sharp discount from what they were selling out of the cart. It was hard work and for a 10-year old, $50 of profit in a day with almost no overhead was good money. His hardworking mentality from a young age translated into his daily academic, fitness and work habits later in life.

Realizing that he lacked the skill to play professional tennis Dave decided he had better learn to use his head and graduated from Ripon College with a BS in Mathematics and Minors in Economics and Computer Science. He also took on an executive board position with his fraternity and quickly learned how to become better organized and more efficient with his time by simultaneously balancing academics, tennis and the fraternity.

Working with Northwestern Mutual

An amazing opportunity presented itself to work with an awesome team of people at the Northwestern Mutual corporate headquarters in Milwaukee, WI and Dave started his first "real job" soon after graduation. He learned a lot in his initial role as a software developer and transitioned to the business side of the company working on numerous corporate large product development efforts but is still a computer geek at heart.

He is also a man of Faith, and believes that all things happen for a reason. When he started out professionally he would have never pictured himself being an advisor and thought negatively of the industry in general and didn’t think that advisors really added that much value and tried to do things on his own. But after some eye-opening events with family members and friends that didn't proactively plan for their future, Dave saw the positive impact that financial planning can have on people's lives, in the community and for his own family. He took the leap of faith to become an advisor and hasn't looked back. Dave is thankful every day that he has the opportunity to listen to and educate his clients to help them achieve financial peace of mind.

Dave currently lives in Waukesha, WI with his wife Jordan and three children.

Lending a hand in my community.

As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
