Personal
I'm originally from upstate New York but after meeting my husband Anthony, in Avalon, New Jersey, I joined the Eastern Pennsylvania office of Northwestern Mutual and moved to the Philadelphia area. I currently reside in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania with Anthony, our son Anthony Jr., our daughter Nina, and our dog, Jack.

Professional Story
In February 2020, I was featured in a local community magazine; under the "Business Spotlight" section. This article does a great job outlining how I started in this career and our general financial philosophy which we use in our planning strategies with all clients. I feel that this is a wonderful way to showcase the professional aspect of my life along with my family; see below for the article details.

Tell us about the events that led up to where you are now (i.e. education, career path).
I graduated from the University of Buffalo with a degree in Graphic Design. I started a career in the graphic design/marketing industry and quickly realized that I didn’t have a passion for that type of work. I met with a financial advisor who explained this career to me. He said, “This career is about building relationships and helping families.” It was then that I knew this is where I wanted to focus my energy.

What is your business and how/why did you start your business?
We have a comprehensive financial planning firm with three advisors and three planning support individuals. We are affiliated with the Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Company and have offices in King of Prussia and Philadelphia. I began this career with three main goals in mind: enrich lives; impact communities; and build legacies. After almost a decade in this business, I’ve never wavered, and those three goals are still at the heart of what we do every day. We primarily work with business owners, physicians, attorneys, and executives, as well as a wide range of business professionals.
What is unique about your business (what sets you apart from the rest)?
We use the term “comprehensive” regarding our planning philosophy because of our unique approach to financial planning. When you are building a house, one of the most important parts is making a strong foundation. Similarly, you need a strong foundation in your financial plan to protect against life’s curveballs. We help ensure that our clients are protected by implementing a viable risk management strategy. This includes protecting yourself, your family, and your retirement dollars. After the foundation is built, we create a customized plan to grow your wealth, achieve your goals, and always use tax efficient strategies. When retirement is approaching, we create a distribution plan, determining the best way to take money during retirement, minimizing taxes, and protecting against market volatility. Every plan is unique, and we constantly review plans with our clients to ensure it is still the best fit.

Given your business expertise and the nature of what you do, what advice (whether general or specific) can you offer to the residents?
We encourage everyone to speak to a professional regarding their financial situation or their existing plan. Even if you already have a financial planner or you have done it yourself, it never hurts to get a second opinion to make sure there are no gaps and that you are still on track. Our clients' lives are continuing to change, so the plan typically does too. Since we have small children, we love helping clients get a head start on planning for their children’s future too. There are a lot of ways to save for your child’s future, and we can help make sure they are ready to succeed.
What else we should know about you, your family, or your business?
I also think our team is unique because I am a female financial advisor (in a predominantly male-dominated industry) with two male advisors on the team. I work with a lot of females helping to educate them on finances. We primarily work with business owners, physicians, attorneys, and executives, as well as a wide range of business professionals. I’ve made my way in this career by overcoming obstacles, building great relationships, and keeping my core values front-of-mind each and every day.
Lending a hand in my community.
As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

Beads of Courage
Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
