Get to Know Casey

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and attended the University of California at Santa Barbara graduating with a major in Business Economics and a minor in Spanish. During my spare time, I enjoy surfing, playing soccer, traveling, hiking, and spending quality time with family and friends. I am also an avid Lakers, Dodgers, and FC Barcelona fan. Sports were a big part of my life growing up and are still today.

My personal mission in life is to lead myself, my family and friends to a lifetime full of freedom, fun, love and happiness. I feel that aside from just improving the financial well being of my clients, it’s equally important to do so with the entire community. I am an active board member of “We Are Ohana,” the “Village Tree Preschool” and recently became a sponsor of the "Los Angeles Dental Society." I am also an active host committee member for fundraising events involved with the City Gala, which hosts a yearly Grammy party to raise money for a few select number of nonprofits.

Professional Experience

I started my career with Northwestern Mutual during my senior year at UCSB as a college intern in 2010. I have always had a passion for helping and leading others, spreading financial literacy and making a positive impact on my community, so naturally the financial services career was a great fit for me. I feel my strength as an advisor stems from building strong trusting relationships with people early on through asking good questions, actively listening to what’s important to them and then coming up with specific solutions to help them reach their goals.

My focus for my clients as their trusted advisor is always being at the center of their financial lives and being the person that they can always rely on when things go as expected and more importantly, when they don’t. As part of my personal responsibility, I feel that you can never stop educating yourself and staying up to date and knowledgeable on the ever-changing laws, regulations and guidelines is very important to me. I currently have my CLU®, ChFC®, CLTC® designations, Series 6, 63, 65, and my Life and Health licenses.

Aside from my personal practice, I am also a “Growth Development Director” in our organization where 30% of my time is focused on mentoring and developing other advisors to help them reach their personal goals. Coaching and mentoring others has always been a passion of mine and helping others reach their goals often gives me more personal fulfillment than accomplishing my own. If you or anyone you know is open to learning about the career opportunity with our firm, we are currently looking for a select number of new advisors to recruit and develop for our new Santa Monica office.  If you have any other questions for me personally related to my services or the firm, please feel free to email me directly.

Future Goals

Aside from professional goals at Northwestern Mutual, I am also planning on creating a wellness and retreat center in Central America in the next few years. My vision is to develop a treehouse resort for entrepreneurs and other highly motivated individuals that would like to spend time away from their daily lives to meditate, collaborate and foster relationships with other like minded people. The goal is simple: to work together, leverage our own unique skills, network and relationships to help create new opportunities that will enrich the lives of the local people in Central America and beyond.

Having had the luxury of being able to travel to so many beautiful countries around the world, notably in Central and South America, I have realized how fortunate we are to have the opportunities we have in America. I feel it is our social responsibility and duty to help others around the world that are not as privileged and reduce the economic inequality that exists today. This retreat center will hopefully give people the platform to accomplish this mission.

Lending a hand in my community.

As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

Why Northwestern Mutual

My focus is always serving my clients and acting within their best interests above all else. And while I have access to many different carriers, I have intentionally aligned myself with Northwestern Mutual for a very specific reason. They are in it for the long-haul and their singular focus is prioritizing what’s best for their clients’ not what’s best for the company’s profit.

Being a mutual company means reporting to its policyholders, not Wall Street. Northwestern Mutual doesn’t believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way they help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they conduct business.

For more than 160 years, they have served their clients well through all economic environments, including multiple world wars, recessions, and pandemics. Meanwhile they have always maintained the highest possible financial strength ratings and are built to last so that they can be there for their clients when they need them the most.

With the backing of this firm, I have been able serve my clients at the highest possible level. I can help them achieve financial peace of mind so they can focus on living their dreams, doing the things they love with who they love. That is my purpose and that is my why.
