I reside in Columbia, South Carolina with wife, Nancy.

Our son William and his wife, Carson, live in Boston. William works in sales management for a cyber security provider and Carson is a first grade teacher. Our daughter Rebecca is a first grade teacher living in Columbia, SC. Our youngest son, Robert Allen, is graduating from Clemson University with a background in Agricultural Business and Entrepreneurship.

  • Palmetto Patriot Award (2010)
    • This award was presented to Bruce Pope by Lieutenant Governor Andre’ Bauer in 2010 for demonstrating good citizenship and exceptional achievement in the financial services profession. This is the highest honor the Lieutenant Governor can award.
  • Bill Hendley Award (2008)
    • Presented to Bruce Pope in 2008 as President of the Outstanding Association of the Year for NAIFA- Midlands, South Carolina
  • Northwestern Mutual Community Service Award (2008)
    • Bruce received the outstanding volunteer community service award for his valuable work with Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic (now known as Learning Ally). Bruce’s contributions involved personally spearheading the implementation of a growth and development plan that raised over 240,000 in less than two years.
  • National Quality Award (1990-1991, 1993-1995, 1997-2004, 2006-2007, 2009-201)
    • Award recognizing persistency and performance
  • National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors Quality Award   (2011-2012, 2015-2016)
    • Award recognizing commitment to excellence in service to clients and industry (replaces National Quality Award)

    • Bruce received this award in honor of his dedication to serve NAIFA-SC, the industry, and his community. Bruce is thankful to his peer group who voted unanimously for him to receive this honor.

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.
