Personal

I spent most of my youth in Eastchester, NY where I attended Eastchester High School and was an honor student, took many AP classes for college credit, and played on the varsity baseball team as a centerfielder and pitcher.

From the ages of six to eight years old, I had the unique opportunity to live with my family in a suburb of Frankfurt, Germany while my father was part of the development team building the tallest building in Europe at the time, the Messeturm. This time abroad helped shape my perception of the world and appreciation for other cultures by allowing me to learn that there are often many ways to approach the same issue and that no one has all the solutions. I credit this time for making me a life-long learner and for being able to keep an open mind when addressing the needs of my clients.

After founding my financial planning practice with Northwestern Mutual in Washington, DC, I relocated my successful practice in late 2016, to White Plains, NY to return home and support my family as my father battled pancreatic cancer. I purchased a home in Bronxville, NY in 2017 so I could remain close to my parents, ultimately supporting my mother through and after my father's passing in late 2017. This experience left an impact on me, which I harness to better serve my retiree clients, having personally experienced a significant illness, the impacts of grief, and the estate management and settlement process.

I enjoy spending time with family, staying at my beach place on the North Fork of Long Island, traveling, golfing, tennis, Pilates, watching movies, watching TV series, dining out, cooking, wine, gardening, and mentoring new advisors. I am passionate about many issues including economic equality, racial equality, equal opportunity, women's rights, and LGBTQ rights.

Professional

A high level of comprehensive, personalized service sets me apart from other financial advisors. I have been in practice with Northwestern Mutual since 2012 and I specialize in serving successful pre-retirees, retirees, medical professionals (surgeons, physicians, specialists, dentists, etc.), closely-held business owners, and their families. I am focused on developing and maintaining genuine client relationships while making it easy to work with my team and me. We work remotely with clients across the nation.

While attending Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, I trained to become a Marine Corps officer and jet pilot but suffered an injury and withdrew to have corrective surgery. Despite this challenge, and switching majors from chemical engineering at the end of my second year, I graduated on time with a double-major in business and economics as well as engineering project management.

Earlier in my career, I held a project management role with Clark Construction in the Washington, D.C. area, where I worked on sensitive projects for the Department of Defense, including the Presidential Helicopter Squadron (HMX-1) hangar at the Quantico Marine Corps Base where I had previously trained. These projects enabled me to give back to the country, as serving others has always been important to me and is a family tradition. The transition to financial planning more closely aligned with my passion, a desire to help others, and provided more flexibility to spend time with my loved ones. In July of 2012, I founded my financial planning practice with Northwestern Mutual in Washington, DC. In late 2016, I relocated my practice to White Plains, NY.

As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)

ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.
