Professional
I am a lifelong resident of Spearfish, South Dakota, and attended Dakota Wesleyan University where I played collegiate soccer while also getting an early start in my career as a college financial representative with Northwestern Mutual. Eventually, I progressed to overseeing the Client Relations Center and ultimately became a financial advisor. What drives me is the diversity of my day and the opportunity to work with a variety of people. I take great satisfaction in providing education and witnessing clients achieve their aspirations, whether it's taking a dream vacation, building a new home, or realizing goals they once thought unattainable.
I've come to understand that in business, maintaining a mindset of determination and forward momentum is essential, even in the face of challenges. I’m all gas and no brakes, always making sure others are taken care of.
My goal is to be recognized for the positive impact I've made in the lives of others. I am committed to always putting others first, ensuring that their needs are met, and that they feel supported in their financial journey.
Vision
To become the premier financial planning firm of the Black Hills/Spearfish area equipped with a team of experts dedicated to assisting clients at every stage of life.
Personal
My wife, Madison, is a nurse, and we have a 2-year-old son Layton, who recently became a big brother! We welcomed little girl Bergen at the end of April! One of the most precious ways we spend our time is watching our children develop and family continue to grow. Completing our family is Roobee, our beloved dog.
When I’m not in the office, we relish spending much of our summer at the golf course, playing pickleball, and enjoying the company of friends. Hosting BBQs and game nights is something we genuinely love. While we appreciate sports, our household is divided when it comes to rooting for athletic teams, except for our unanimous support for the Black Hills State Yellow Jackets men’s and women’s basketball and football teams.
My word for the year is "Separation." It's about breaking away from mediocrity and striving for greatness, shedding habits that no longer contribute to my growth and success, and I am immensely grateful to my loved ones, colleagues, and clients for their support in helping me achieve this.

As part of Northwestern Mutual, I'm proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. Here are some of the organizations we partner with:
Spearfish Downtown Business Association – Board Member
Promote events and businesses within the downtown area to attract more people to enjoy what our community has to offer.

Chamber of Commerce - Leadership Spearfish – Member
Leadership Spearfish is a developmental and educational program. This comprehensive curriculum enriches and encourages potential leaders through a nine-month course. The program is open to all people who live or work in the Spearfish area, from all segments of the community, and all career levels. It is beneficial to both long term and new residents.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.
When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.
Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.
It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
