Personal
Adam was born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland and loved life on the Chesapeake Bay so much that he decided to make it his permanent home. He spent most of his early years boating, playing lacrosse, and wrestling, and went on to play lacrosse at the college level. Adam was also active in scouting from an early age and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout in 1999.
Adam is a former board member of the Y of Central Maryland community advisory board. He is the current treasurer of the Wingate University Lacrosse Alumni Association, and active member of the Annapolis Yacht Club, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and Anne Arundel Estate Planning Council. He is also a volunteer for other philanthropic and community organizations including the Maryland SPCA, Boys and Girls Club, and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
Adam married his wife Katie in 2011, and they reside in Annapolis with their sons Ike and Reed and their daughter Mulloy. In his spare time, Adam can be found out on the water boating and fishing. He is an avid skier, a mediocre golfer, and loves to cook.
The Griffin Family

Professional
Adam attended Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina where he was a member of their nationally ranked men’s lacrosse team. He worked hard to develop his skills as a leader by serving as the team captain during his senior year. After graduating from Wingate with a Bachelor of Science in communication studies, Adam moved back to his home town of Annapolis where he spent the first years of his career as a project manager for a national homebuilder.
Like many people, after the 2008 recession Adam reevaluated his career path. In 2009, after determining that homebuilding wasn’t his calling, he joined Northwestern Mutual as a Financial Representative and knew that he had found the right fit. Throughout his career Adam has been a dedicated student of financial planning and earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Professional in 2015. In addition to holding his life and health insurance licenses, Adam holds his FINRA series 6,7,63 and 65 security licenses.
Adam established Griffin Financial and built his team with the values of offering customized financial plans and expert service to a wide range of clients. To date they have helped over 400 individuals, families, and business owners prepare for retirement, save for their children’s educations, secure the future of their businesses, and plan for their legacy.

Lending a hand in my community.
Griffin Financial is proud to partner with both local and national organizations that provide support and life-saving resources to the people who need it the most. Here are some of the organizations that are making a difference in our communities:
Supporting the Wounded Warrior Project
Griffin Financial is a proud sponsor of the "Tee it up for the Wounded Warriors" charity golf tournament. In 2023 this event raised over $10,000 in support of the Wounded Warrior Project. Funds raised at these annual tournaments will directly impact the lives of wounded service members, their families, and caregivers through high-touch, unique programs designed to help warriors transition to a successful civilian life.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.
