Andrew Platt

Managing Director
Having been born and raised in Dayton, I am passionate about the financial security of those in my community. I specialize in holistic planning for physicians, executives, and business owners. My team and I work with our clients to create long-term financial plans that manages wealth, mitigates risk, and saves money tax efficiently to see your goals become reality.
Carlina Figueroa
Director of Recruitment
Carlina’s background in Human Resources allows her the opportunity to develop recruitment strategies, implement leadership programs, and identify new ways to engage advisors and staff at Northwestern Mutual. Carlina is very active and committed to serving the Dayton community. She was awarded WiBN Women to Watch (2023); Dayton Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 (2022); and Leadership Dayton class of 2022. She holds leadership roles including sitting on the board for the Artemis Center for domestic violence; executive team for the Junior League of Dayton; and also serves on the Governance committee for the Dayton Children’s Foundation and the Board Development committee for the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio. Carlina received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Christopher Newport University in Virginia, her master’s degree in human resource development from The George Washington University in D.C., and also holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.

Elliot grew up in the Dayton area and believes in working in the community. He served on the Valley View school board and volunteers with many other Dayton organizations. Elliot is married to his wonderful wife, Laura, and they have four daughters. Elliot enjoys spending time outdoors with his family skiing, golfing, and attending his children’s sporting events.

Lauren Grace

Lauren is the Director of Campus Recruitment and Onboarding for Northwestern Mutual – Dayton | West Chester. She started with the organization in 2020 after her graduation from Miami University. She enjoys making an impact by recruiting, training, and developing college students and recent graduates. Outside of work, Lauren serves as a mentor through Covington Partners, is an industry representative for Ohio Cooperative Education Association, and an active member of Miami Regionals Career Services Advisory Council. Lauren currently resides in Covington, KY.
David Abney

In 2016 David began an internship as a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual where twice he was recognized as one of the nation’s top 20 interns. After a successful internship experience, David joined NM – Dayton as a full-time advisor in 2020 with the purpose of improving lives by clarifying values and aligning actions. As a Financial Advisor, David is passionate about building meaningful relationships with his clients all while helping them purse and achieve their most important personal, professional, and charitable goals. Personally, David is an active member in his community and believes strongly in giving back. He serves on the Dayton Foundation’s African American Community Fund - Grants Committee, the local Big Brothers Big Sisters Associate Board, and most recently as a board member with Sunlight Village. David currently resides in downtown Dayton and when he’s not in the office he spends his time exercising, cooking new cuisines, and traveling abroad.
Allison Bigley
Director of Operations
Allison is the Director of District Operations at Northwestern Mutual-Dayton, and has been with NM since she began at the Cincinnati office in 2012. In her role, she provides financial and operational support to the office personnel and financial advisors in their mission to make Dayton the most financially secure region in the nation. She and her family happily reside in Centerville.
