Giving Back
Lending a hand, however we can.
Along with making our clients feel better about their money, we're making our community feel better, too.
Causes we care about
Along with making the financial lives of our clients better, we're improving our community, too. Through financial support, volunteerism and collaboration with partners, we're helping to build a stronger community.Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer
Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children under the age of 15. ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual has donated more than $20 million to support ALSF. Locally, the Grand Rapids office is proud to raise money that will go toward changing the lives of children with cancer.
Kids’ Food Basket
Childhood hunger is an issue that affects our whole community. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Kids’ Food Basket to provide nutritious food to children in need. Whether we’re helping to prepare meals or organizing food drives such as our Fill-a-Bag Challenge, our office has helped feed over 3,000 children so that they can be their best in school and in life.
Lone Survivor Foundation
Since 2010, the Lone Survivor has provided therapeutic retreats for service members and veterans from all military branches as well as their families—at no cost to them. Our office is proud to help the foundation carry out its mission to restore, empower, and renew hope for wounded service members.
