Michael Byrne

Managing Partner

Michael Byrne began his career with Northwestern Mutual as a College Intern. Early in his career, he quickly distinguished himself as a leader with a thriving team as Field Director in St. Louis, Mo. After growing his personal practice and growing a team, he accepted a role with Northwestern Mutual's Home Office in Milwaukee as the Assistant Regional Director, a position that prepares talented candidates for Managing Partner Assignments. In 2007, Michael was appointed the Managing Partner in San Francisco, CA and in his time with the firm, it has doubled in both size and production. In addition to being a leader on the national level, Michael has also represented Northwestern Mutual at international Financial Services engagements in Hong Kong and Canada. Michael and the firm are active fundraisers for Alex’s Lemonade Stand, SF-Marin Food Bank, as well as volunteers for Glide Memorial and various other local charities.

Jess Eubank has been with the San Francisco Bay Area Group for 8 years. She currently holds the role of Director of Operations for the firm. Jess’s strengths lie in team management, leadership, and organization. She is passionate about the SFBAG culture and team mentality. Prior to coming to Northwestern Mutual, Jess held various management positions at Nordstrom across the United States. She graduated with a degree in Art History from The Ohio State University. In her free time, Jess enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, and wine tasting.

As a Managing Director at Northwestern Mutual, Rachel seeks to empower her team to lead well and our community to make vital financial decisions. Her leadership path began at Northwestern Mutual in 2008. First, as the Director of Network Office Supervision, to six years later appointed the Chief Operating Officer, the first-ever female Chief in the 150 years of the San Francisco Office. Rachel was responsible for determining strategic plans that support our annual organizational goals. She was also the head of our Diversity & Inclusion Council; her goal was to help build a firm comprised of Advisors that mirror the community we serve with diversity and gender equality as a top priority. In 2022, She was appointed Managing Director of our Walnut Creek Office. She has sought to better this incredible organization throughout her tenure at Northwestern Mutual. Her focus has centered on building a culture of inclusion and community involvement.

Marlin started his career as an intern with Northwestern Mutual in Pleasanton California in January 2010. After a successful internship, he became a Financial Advisor in June of 2010. After 6 years in Pleasanton, working his way up to Field Director, he was offered the Growth and Development Director role in San Francisco California. He built a team from the ground up to 14 advisors in 2020. He has ranked in the Top 10 of GDDs over the past two years and has earned the Game Changer and Distribution Builder awards. Marlin has built an MDRT level personal practice and is a consistent 100 Life writer. Marlin is a native of the East Bay Area in San Leandro California where he married his High School sweetheart Ali in 2014. In their free time, they enjoy traveling and playing with their son Lincoln, who was born in 2018.

Campbell started her career with the San Francisco Bay Area Group in 2017 as a full-time recruiting coordinator while completing her bachelor’s degree in Business Management at San Francisco State University. Upon graduation, she transitioned to our college campus efforts to oversee recruiting, onboarding, training, and development as Director of Campus Recruitment & Development with a passion for growing our internship program. She has since then pivoted back to a focus in full time Associate Financial Rep efforts and over the past two years spent time in recruiting, training, coaching & development of both our Under 5 year advisors and leaders. She has a passion for recruiting and retaining diverse financial advisors who continue to build generational wealth in our communities, while building a leadership team who reflects all walks of life in the communities we serve. In her free time Campbell loves spending time with friends, trips to Tahoe to snowboard and travelling the world.
