Professional Mission
Russ Romano is a Retirement Income Certified Professional and has been serving clients as a Financial Advisor within Northwestern Mutual since 2016. Prior to launching his financial planning practice, he served clients and business partners within the real estate finance industry and this experience has proven to be a valuable resource for his clients today.
Russ and his team have a national practice working with clients throughout the country in all areas of financial planning from wealth management to insurance planning. Russ's motivation to serve clients in their financial planning journey derived from the lack of planning that was uncovered after losing his parents at the age of 14. In the span of just 9 months, Russ and his brother lost their father to a heart attack and their mom lost her battle with cancer.
Through this tragedy, he found resilience and turned his circumstances into an opportunity to help his clients plan with clarity, perspective and foresight.
His professional mission is to help clients make smart decisions with their money so they can live life with Confidence, Fulfillment and Financial Security.
A little about Russ and His Family
Russ was born and raised in Bergen County NJ. He attended Northern Valley Regional Old Tappan high school and continued his educational journey at the University of Vermont where played baseball for the Catamounts. On the path to become an educator, Russ changed course to serve clients within the real estate finance industry when in 2015 he launched his wealth management and financial planning practice. He feels the financial services career allows him to have a lasting positive impact on his clients.
Russ is a retirement income certified professional helping clients navigate many areas of their financial lives from investment planning to protecting the things and people cherish most through insurance planning. His planning approach begins and ends with his clients in mind.
Russ currently resides in Furlong PA with his wife Dana and two children Julianna and Jack. He enjoys coaching his kid's sports teams, making homemade pizza, hosting family and friends with good food and spirits, playing golf and vacationing near a lake or an ocean. The underlying theme to Russ's personal interests involves family and close friends.
Russ enjoys good music and plays the guitar occasionally. He loves sports and you'll likely hear him make references to different sports when educating his clients about planning concepts. Growing up in northern New Jersey, his unique team affiliations include the NY Mets, NY Giants and NJ Devils. He considers himself a "good sport", as his family supports the local Philadelphia teams. His only request is that they root for his favorite teams when they're not playing each other!

Russ is passionate about making a positive impact in his community and he's proud to help accelerate the search for better childhood cancer treatments while supporting families undergoing treatment, and survivors from late effects. He also partners with organizations who's mission is to help provide support and services to local breast cancer warriors. Mentorship played an important role in Russ's development and he's partnered with Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Bucks County as a big brother.
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.
Beads of Courage
Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.
Pine2Pink - Benefiting LOCAL breast cancer patients
Pine to Pink's goal is to provide a source of relief and comfort to patients during the grueling process of battling breast cancer and take away some of the financial stress, allowing them to focus on becoming whole again!
Kin Wellness Center
The Kin Wellness & Support Center is a comforting retreat, free to all cancer patients across Bucks County. A place where they can come to have their non-medical - yet critical - emotional, social, physical and lifestyle needs met throughout their journey of treatment, recovery and beyond. Kin offers a multitude of integrative services and support available to all local patients, their families and caregivers, regardless of where they are treated, and is a restorative, welcoming environment that thrives from Community support and donations!
