About Ronette Santos

Welcome to my profile at Northwestern Mutual in Reno, Nevada. With over two decades of experience in financial planning, I am deeply rooted in the Truckee Meadows community, where I've lived my entire life.

While earning my Bachelors of Accounting in 1994, I began leaning about money and compounding interest. While educating myself and giving presentations to my fellow classmates, my passion began for building wealth. Through my experience, I further learned navigating and finding opportunities in different market and economic cycles for  building wealth through high quality investments.

My journey began as a career at Edward Jones in 1999 with a FINRA Series 7 license as an Investment Representative. In 2008 I furthered my education and became a Financial Advisor. In 2012, I obtained my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, which is a recognized standard of excellence and fiduciary obligation in the financial industry.

Over my 21 years at Edward Jones, through my passion to make a difference in retirement planning and Income distribution, I continued my education through due diligence at premier money management firms across the country.

In 2022, I made the decision to join Northwestern Mutual. Here, I continue rigorous continuing education and alignment with the highest standard of care to the practice of wholistic financial planning for financial security today and in the future for all my clients.

This deep dive involves assessing where a client stands today, exploring various choices and alternatives, and addressing critical risks such as loss of income, to long-term health care event or death, helping clients be adequately prepared for unforeseen circumstances before and during retirement.

Let's work together to plan your financial future. Contact me today to schedule a consultation.

Lending a hand in my community.

As a proud past Rotarian, I have volunteered extensively, serving as the Restaurant Chair for four years at their largest fund raiser, the annual "Marti Gras Food and Wine Tasting" event, in Reno, Nevada.

Additionally, both of my children participated in Rotary's Junior Leadership Program, RYLA, during their high school years, which provided them with invaluable experiences and leadership opportunities for their futures. I am very proud of serving as a Rotarian and my children's participation.

I've served as a board member, then as chairman of the board, for the Elvirita Lewis forum (ELF). AKA: Seniors in Service. I headed changing ELF into an organization for long term stability in our community through government funding for seniors helping seniors and in education for high-risk children in the Truckee Meadows.

How Northwestern Mutual helps you live the life you want.

When people feel better about their money, good things happen—they become more confident and feel more secure. For more than 160 years, Northwestern Mutual has helped people achieve the financial flexibility they need to live more and worry less.

Being a mutual company means Northwestern Mutual reports to its clients, not Wall Street. They don't believe in chasing fads or taking undue risk for short-term gains. Instead, they take a long-term approach—both in the way we help people plan to reach their goals, and in the way they do business. This has served their clients (and mine) well through all kinds of economic ups and downs, including wars, recessions, even the recent pandemic.

It's why I'm happy to be part of a company that's in it for the long-haul and prioritizes clients over profit.
